The location has a fantastic riverside view. The hotel facilities are clean.
The AC temperature could not be lowered, and the bed linens seemed old. It was frustrating. I also tried contacting the hotel multiple times, but I got no support.

the staff was friendly, and the breakfast selection was extensive. my room overlooked the river, a detail i particularly enjoyed (especially the sunsets). i appreciated the easy access to the marina next door, perfect for a yacht trip.

The outdoor pool OVERLOOKS the river offering amazing views. I found multiple seating areas perfect. Breakfast choices included many options, something that i really valued.
The bathroom felt slightly small, but it was manageable.

the pool bar was disappointing (not exactly what i expected). food quality seemed low and service was slow. it was odd to see guests ordering food deliveries instead of eating there. also, the public areas lacked any real comfort or design, more like random chairs and tables got dumped there. it felt more like a middling four-star hotel than a true five-star place, poor food

i enjoyed my room overlooking the river. the marina near the hotel was convenient for a yacht trip (i highly recommend it). david and jorge were very helpful during check-in and throughout my stay. david even corrected a mistake i made on my reservation.
the hotel controlled the air conditioning. i found out the ac only worked if all doors were locked. one sliding door was broken, so i was uncomfortably warm until maintenance fixed it.

Solid choice for a Douro stay

The room was well soundproofed. i appreciated the hotel's onsite parking. It made logistics easier. spa services were available, i could easily schedule appointments at the front desk.
I noticed limited storage in the room. there was only a small wardrobe. We had to put our belongings on the bathroom floor.
